In recent years there has been a surge of interest in other ways of handling nerves. Two of the most ‘famous’ include the so-called WonderWoman Pose of Amy Cuddy, and the whole Mindfulness movement. We’ll look at Mindfulness in a bit.

Don’t be fooled by the apparent simplicity of Amy Cuddy’s work. There is a lot of heavy-duty, hardcore research science behind it.
It’s not as easy to use as it sounds, but if you can find ways of applying it, it’s very powerful. The hard part is often simply finding a time and a place to do the exercise.
