Length of your videos

There’s no point in making a video that’s so long no one watches it! So how long should it be? This little article has some interesting (and slightly depressing statics.

In short, (and obviously) your video should be as long as it needs to be but as short as it can be. True though that might be it’s not much help!

I’m going to be blunt here – the rules for doing this are the same as they are for any other kind of presentation. What’s different is the delivery medium. The fact that it’s online has an impact on things like how much information you include and so on, but not how you figure out what order to put things in.

Fortunately there’s a very simple principle that can help you a lot!
